About UP State Fire Service:
The UP State Fire Service started its voyage for service of the citizens in the year 1944 with mere 198 Fire Personnel and Eight Fire Stations in the state. Presently this academy has grown multifold over the last 60 years and caters to 144 Fire Stations with 5536 Fire Personnel covering 61 districts of this massively populated state of Uttar Pradesh. With the basic motto to save the life as the first priority the State Fire Service is equipped with 1082 Fire Service Machinery to take care of insurgency situations across the state.
To man this efficient department, the State Police Recruitment Board has announced induction of almost 2000 Fire Service Personnel to the present force of around 5500 personnel. The recruitment will be conducted under a single recruitment procedure from the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for recruitment of Constables in a massive range of 24000 vacancies (2000 for PAC and 2000 for Fire Service rest for State Police Department) for the year 2013.
