About UP State Police Recruitment And Promotion Board:

Envisaging to offer support through recruitment to non-gazetted positions for the UP state Police Department has been in operation in the state of UP since 2008. Operating from its head office at Lucknow, this state level recruitment board is offering direct support for recruitment and promotion of internal state policemen and also conducts direct recruitment to various cadre of positions in the state.
With the recent notification from the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), there is a tremendous opportunity for recruitment to designated positions of Police Constables in the UP state Police Force. The vacancies are divided specifically into three segments of recruitment for a massive induction of almost 24000 forces in the department. The details of the vacancies and the Procedure to obtain the UP Police Constable Admit Card 2013 are detailed as under:

Important Dates for Reckoning:
• Final date for submission of completed application to the State Recruitment and Promotion Board: February the 19th, 2013

Category-wise vacancies and the nature of recruitment:

So far, the Board has announced for induction of 24000 forces under its discretion. However the exact number of vacancies is still uncertain and the Board reserves the right to reduce or enhance or cancel the current numbers of vacancies as per its requirement.

Category-wise vacancies are as under:
• Tentative number of vacancies for Fire Service Departments: Two thousand positions
• Tentative number of vacancies for PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary): Two thousand positions
• Departmental Police Force: Tentatively Twenty Thousand positions
The most demanding criteria for making an applicant eligible:

Age of the candidate:
An interested applicant must have attained a minimum age of Eighteen years and a should not have exceeded the Maximum age limit of 22 years as on January the 1st, 2013

Educational Qualification Requirements:
Essentially an applicant must have passed the Matriculation standard or 10+2 or any other equivalent qualification with respect to the above to be eligible for basic selection

Physical Standards:
An applicant must have minimum Physical Standards such as height, weight and chest expansion (min 5 cm) in order to qualify the preliminary scrutiny.

Application Fee:
The applications must be attached with a proof of fee receipt for an amount of Rs. Fifty Only, for making the application eligible for consideration.

The ORA recruitment application can be obtained from the website of the State Police recruitment Board through their website at http://uppbpb.gov.in, can be filled in completely and need to be submitted before the last date demarcated.

How to receive the UP Police Constable Admit Card 2013:
The Admit cards for the selection of Constables will be made available at the website of the recruitment Board at http://uppbpb.gov.in in near future. The candidates can download the admit cards in order to appear in the selection examination and interview.
